Privacy and site terms
This publication measures aggregate use and supports voluntary email and story participation. A submitted memory or image can be more sensitive than an ordinary page view, so its intended use and provenance matter.
01 · Collection
Technical use and voluntary participation.
Page requests can create records such as IP-derived region, browser and device information, URL, referrer, timestamp, and errors. Analytics can record page views and interactions. Email forms collect the address, consent, source, and unsubscribe status you submit.
02 · Stories and consent
A submission needs a defined use.
If a story, photograph, name, or contact detail is submitted, the network may retain the material, source, permission scope, and a record of consent or revocation needed to manage the submission. Do not submit someone else’s identifying material without permission. Submission does not guarantee publication, and editorial review may require follow-up before any public use.
03 · Use
Operate the publication and honor the stated scope.
Information is used to deliver pages, maintain requested subscriptions, measure aggregate readership, attribute disclosed network referrals, review submissions, administer permissions, diagnose failures, prevent abuse, and meet legal or security obligations. Email consent for this publication is not consent to unrelated lists.
04 · Providers
A limited infrastructure set processes data.
Vercel hosts the site, Convex supports application data, and Google Analytics, Vercel Analytics, and PostHog support aggregate and product measurement. Email, storage, and security providers may process the minimum information required for their role, sometimes outside your jurisdiction.
05 · Choices
Participation stays optional.
You can read without subscribing or submitting a story. Browser controls can clear or block cookies and local storage. Subscription messages should include an unsubscribe route. You may ask to access, correct, delete, or revoke future controlled use of submitted personal information, subject to lawful retention and copies no longer controlled by the network.
06 · Terms
Stories are not professional advice.
